Dwaine is originally from San Diego, CA. After serving in the US Army, he and his wife, Dr. Krichna Sowles, first lived in Jacksonville, FL, then Albany, GA (where he attended and earned an AS degree in Biology from Darton College) then Hartwell, GA (where he attended and earned his BA in History from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!)) before settling in Burlington, NC in 2006. In July of 2020, Dwaine bought the store from his friend, Mark Dryden, who opened the store in 2009.

Ricky has been with the store since 2020.

John joined the team in March 2025.

Laydy joined the team in March 2025.

CJ joined the team in April 2025.

Ms. Marlene is one of the OG's. She started working with the founder of this store, Mark, and continues to come in on an as needed basis.

Dylan is a student at Elizabeth City State University. He helps out at the store when he is home.

Sophia is a student at William's HS. She helps out at the store when able.
